What are Industry Days?
‘Industry Days’ is a vocational education initiative that allows high school students in years 10 to 12 to spend one day a week away from their regular school environment to gain practical training and experience in a specific industry.
Industry days offer a valuable opportunity for students to apply classroom learning in a practical setting, explore potential career options, and develop skills that are directly relevant to the workplace.
Our Perfroming Arts Industry Day Program aims to provide students with real-world exposure to the various aspects of our industries, helping them make informed decisions about their future career paths.
Every Tuesday throughout the school year, students step into a realm of creativity, expression, and skill development, away from their regular academic setting.
A Comprehensive Performing Arts Curriculum
Our meticulously crafted curriculum ensures a well-rounded exploration of the performing arts landscape. Students will train in the main performing arts including acting, singing, musical theatre ballet, theatre jazz and tap, but they will also explore more industry focused skills such as production management and stage management. This way, we ensure that students engage in a diverse array of disciplines.
This program is designed not only to cultivate artistic talent but also to foster critical thinking, discipline, and professionalism.
Guidance from Industry Experts
Our students have the privilege of learning from seasoned professionals who bring a wealth of experience to every class. Industry Days provide a mentorship environment, offering insights, expertise, and a guiding hand as students navigate the multifaceted world of the performing arts.
Building Foundations for Future Careers
At LVBA, we recognise the significance of industry exposure in shaping career aspirations. Industry Days are more than a training ground; they are a gateway to understanding the possibilities and potential within the performing arts profession. Through theoretical learning and hands-on experience, students build a foundation that extends beyond the stage.
Performance Opportunities and Community Engagement
Throughout the program, students participate in performances, presentations, and collaborative projects. This not only hones their skills but also instills a sense of community within the program. The spotlight becomes a platform for self-expression, creativity, and the celebration of artistic achievements.
Inspiring a New Generation of Performers
Our commitment goes beyond education; it’s about inspiring a new generation of performers who will redefine the boundaries of the performing arts. LVBA Industry Days are an invitation to dream, create, and step into the spotlight with confidence.
Join us in this extraordinary journey where passion meets education, and every note, every step, and every performance tells a story of artistic excellence. The stage is set, and the future of the performing arts awaits.
