Affirming their personalities through playing characters
LVBA’s approach to acting is ‘Be true, be real, be honest’.
Acting is not really about faking or pretending or even ‘make believe’. Acting is the ability to become a true and honest character in an imaginary environment; even if that character is a lion or a chair.
At LVBA, our main focus is the child’s self-development within the art of acting. By discovering and playing other characters, the child explores and affirms their own personality. By training their voice nuances (soft and loud), their different intonations they can use, their body language and their diction, kids who learn acting make stronger and more confident adults when they grow up because they know exactly who they are and what they can do.
In this educational course, your child will learn so much more than just the different facets of being an actor. He/she will learn how to understand a character, how to use facial expressions, how to convey emotions and thoughts with their body and voice.
Acting Classes for kids
Does your child love playing characters? Make up stories, put on costumes and perform little plays for you? Then, (lucky you!), you probably have a wannabe actor on your hands. But don’t worry, it’s not that bad. Learning acting and theatre is an excellent activity for a child’s personal development, self-confidence and affirmation of self.
